ADULT EDUCATION INSTRUCTORS CALL

The New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill is looking for experienced adult education instructors to teach interactive, hands-on programs, workshops, and courses for adult audiences that are related to its mission of creating experiences with plants that inspire people and improve the world.

At present, we are hiring instructors to teach in the following subject areas:

  • Gardening and Horticulture
  • Environmental Studies and the Natural World
  • Visual Arts and Design
  • Creative Writing
  • History and Literature
  • Food and Drink
  • Health and Wellness

Please visit our calendar to see examples of our current program offerings.

We currently offer one-hour programs, half-day or full-day workshops, and multi-session courses. Instruction typically takes place on-site at NEBG, either outside or in one of our classrooms. Virtual and hybrid options are also available.

Instructors are hired on a contract basis, and are paid an hourly rate based on their instructional time. Classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.

If you are interested in teaching for NEBG, please send a resume/CV and a brief summary of your teaching interests to adulteducation@nebg.org. You may also wish to include a portfolio, links to a personal website, or a list of classes you have previously taught.

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
